January 16th 2015 AGM

Graham Makepeace stepped down as President of the Society, a position he has held for over 28 years! Graham was presented with an engraved silver salver and wine decanter by the Society, in recognition of his enormous contribution and support over the years. His wife Claudia, was also presented with a bouquet of flowers. He is succeeded as president by Mr Terry Smith, a longstanding Committee Member and supporter of the Society. Awards -January 2016

Presentation of inaugural awards given in memory of Irene Starling and Joy Taylor. The photo below (left to right) shows Tim Taylor -winner of the  Irene Starling memorial award for the most points obtained in the Spring and Autumn shows (combined) for non horticulture.  Terry Smith, President of the society in the middle and Brian Cogan, 2015 winner of the Joy Taylor memorial award for the most points obtained in the Spring and Autumn shows (combined) for horticulture.

Happisburgh Lighthouse  Charity Zipwire Challenge  10th October 2015

The Society's intrepid Vice Chairman, Mrs Joanna Berry, threw herself off the top of Happisburgh Lighthouse on Sunday 10th October (via a zipwire we hasten to add) to raise money for the upkeep of the structure itself.  She would like to thank all the members who kindly sponsored her.  Joanna's husband Glenn also took part and between them they have raised over £600.
